What we do

An alarm that people actually use, and that actually gets answered

Most alarms fail for one of two reasons: they are too awkward to set every night, or nobody responds when they go off. We design around both. Every Connacht CCTV intruder alarm is specified from a free on-site survey — we walk the property with you, map the entry points, and size the system to the real risk rather than to a box on a shelf.

You get a simple keypad or app arm/disarm, sensible zoning so you can set the house while the yard stays live, and the option of monitoring with a licensed alarm receiving centre. Every install is certified, handed over with a walkthrough, and backed by local service — not a call centre in another country.

What's included

What's included in an intruder alarm installation

Free site survey

We walk the property, identify vulnerable entry points and blind spots, then quote a system in writing with no obligation.

Graded control panel

EN-graded panels from Texecom, Pyronix and HKC, sized to the property and future-proofed for extra zones later.

Smart detection

Dual-tech and pet-immune PIRs, door contacts, shock sensors and external sirens positioned to cut false alarms.

App control

Arm, disarm and check status from your phone. Push notifications the moment a zone is triggered, wherever you are.

ARC monitoring

Optional connection to a licensed alarm receiving centre with keyholder and Garda escalation procedures.

Service & maintenance

Annual service visits, battery replacement and remote diagnostics to keep the system compliant and reliable.

Who it's for

Alarm systems for homes, farms and business premises

Homes

Discreet wireless systems for occupied houses and retrofits, with night-set zoning so upstairs stays free while doors and downstairs are protected.

Farms

Sheds, tank stores and machinery yards protected with external detection and hard-wearing kit that copes with dust, damp and livestock.

Businesses

Zoned, part-set systems for retail, workshops and offices with multi-user codes, open/close reporting and monitored escalation.

How it works

From first call to fully commissioned system

Free site survey

We come out, walk the property with you and look at the real risks — no charge, no obligation.

Written proposal

A clear plan and a fixed price. What goes where, what it does, and what it costs to run.

Installation

Our own engineers, tidy cable routes, and the site left as we found it. Most jobs finish in a day.

Handover & support

We set it up on your phone, walk you through it, and stay on the end of the line afterwards.

Questions

Intruder Alarms — frequently asked

Do I need alarm monitoring?
Not always. A local bells-only system with app notifications suits many homes. Monitoring is worth it for isolated properties, farms and commercial premises where nobody is nearby to check on an activation — or where your insurer asks for it.
Usually, yes. If the existing cabling and detectors are sound we can swap the panel for a modern app-enabled one and reuse most of the wiring, which keeps the cost well below a full replacement.
No. We use pet-immune and dual-technology detectors and set the zoning so animals can move around the areas they’re allowed into without triggering an activation.
A typical three or four bedroom house is a one-day install. Larger farms and commercial sites are usually one to three days depending on cabling and the number of zones.
Highly recommend Anthony. Tidy and neat work overall, and everything was explained before the lads left the yard.
